In the summer of 2020, together with a dreamteam consisting of Kevin Schouwenaar, Fay de Grefte & Pim van Os, we acquired a freelance project for Revolt (a Pon Holding subsidiary) working in the field of EV charging. Revolt asked us to design the exterior & interior configuration for their new charging station. Over a period of roughly 4 weeks, we developed a design ready for prototype manufacturing; from first sketch to technical drawing. Throughout this pressure cooker project, we worked closely together with PIA automation & Pon Power.  Currently, Revolt is running a pilot with three 1 : 1 prototypes in the Amsterdam Area.
Within this project I was responsible for project management, communication and the design of the interior configuration.
The Design & Backstory
The charging station has a double function, as it's used for charging and advertising at the same time. On both sides, a 55" screen is used  not only for commercials but also for creating a more involved charging experience. The design is in line with Revolt's values; bold,
eye-catching and without concessions.
The charging station will be placed on parking areas and garages of companies.
Collaborations
Throughout the project we closely collaborated with Revolt. Together with their team, we facilitated a co-creation session from where we developed an exterior design and backstory. In the second part of the project, we joined forces with PIA Automation and Pon Power who helped and advised us on technological and production feasibility. The result was a technological elaboration of a charging station, ready for prototype production.
